Question about anatomy scan?

My OB does not do ultrasounds in his office. I have to go to the main hospital and go to the imaging wing. My appointment is this Friday for my anatomy scan then I have a follow up with my Dr that Monday. Will the ultrasound tech tell me what it is or will i have to wait to see my Dr to know?

May be a dumb question ftm sorry!

Tech should be able to tell you what it is, but won't tell you if there are any abnormalities seen.

I live in CA & they couldn't legally tell me anything about the scan. He just showed me between the legs & let me take my own guess. It all depends on where you live. The Dr went over everything at the next appointment. :)

I'm in Texas and when I had mine done the tech just took measurements and the pictures then the doctor came in and looked over everything and said everything looked fine in regards to the fluid behind the neck and nasal bone. I also had blood work done but I had to wait on those results. He actually called me to let me know the results as well as my regular doc.

I went to a separate place to get my anatomy scan and he told me what I'm having and sent me home with 20 photos. He sent the detailed information to my dr, I'm assuming if there was something wrong he would tell my dr instead of me but there wasn't.

depends on where you live and what the laws are. for both my children the ultrasound tech was not legally allowed to tell me anything about my babies, i had to wait until my dr had the report
