How many clothes?

Question

FTM trying to get a ballpark idea of quantities experienced moms recommend. How many types of each clothing do you recommend? I know people will give clothing as gifts, but in terms of planning, how many newborn and 0-3 onesies, pants, hats, long sleeves do you recommend? My baby is due in July. I have bought a few here and there for bargain prices; I don't want to overdo it but also want to account for spit up and accidents. Thank you!

I have bought very little clothes. My son is 2.5. Wait and see what everyone buys for you first. You may not need anything at all. The older they get though, the less clothes they need. 0-3 we went through 3 outfits/day and did laundry once a week.  If no one gets them for you, get lots of footie sleepers

Two outfits per day plus pajamas then seasonal extras like hats. If you can do laundry often the less you have to buy.

All I know is, I wouldn't buy too many newborn clothes, they'll grow out of it really fast. I bought more 3 month sizes.
