Doctor remarks

Today my ob checked me. I'm 33 weeks. My cervix is still kind of high. And closed. He said its softening. I didn't get the chance to ask what that meant.. Anyone know?i start going every week now just don't want to wait another week to ask lol Plus he said he wasn't gonna check to see if baby has turned until 37 weeks or so. I feel like that is kind of pushing it on time. He wants to induce at 38 weeks....
