Are hot showers okay when pregnant?

I heard you shouldn't take hot baths, go In a jacuzzi or sauna. Are hot showers okay?

I think hot showers are okay but the jacuzzis are not. It's because the warm water can breed bacteria that can get into your hoo-ha and cause an infection or something. Plus it raises your core body temp too high which isn't good.

I take them daily. This is my third pregnancy and I've always taken hot showers lol no problems here

They say not to because it heats up your body temperature, which heats up baby, which can effect the development.
Just what I read and was told.  :)

The important thing is not letting your body temp get too high because it can cause birth defects.  I've taken lots of hot showers though, and hot baths too, and I just monitor my temp.  I do stay away from hot tubs though.

I always take a hot (hubby says scalding...haha!) shower in the morning. Always have, always will. But my shower usually only last 6-7 minutes though, so I'm not going to worry about it unless my doctor tells me differently.

I take a hot bath every night, helps with aches and pains before bed and relaxes me. I have a lie risk pregnancy and midwife said its OK, just no sauna etc. xox

I was told baths are ok as long as its not super hot. I took a bath through my first pregnancy with no problems!

It's ok to take hot showers but not to sit in hot water like a jacuzzi for too long. I have always been told this but honestly not sure why! Lol
