Flying with baby?

Little man is going on his first flight soon.. Anyone have tips, beyond just feeding him on takeoff/landing? Like, how to manage all his stuff??? What to pack vs bring on the plane, etc?  Anyone been through security with the stroller + car seat? How'd it go? Did you just pull baby out at the gate shortly before time to board and then bag up the stuff for gate checking?
