Pack n play- bassinet or not?

Question

I found this pack n play and really like it! But I'm wondering if any of you think the bassinet is important or really useful? It has a changer on it but I'm not sure if I should try to find one with a bassinet.

My lo used the bassinet for 2wks until I put her down in it to get some water and when I came back she'd gotten ahold of the side and was in the process of pulling herself over the edge. She only fit in the changer for 4wks because she is very long. We just use a changing pad in the top part to change her now.

It's super useful if you keep it in the living room because then you've got a changing station and aren't running to the nursery all of the time. Also super useful for napping in the first 3 months-- you're sore from giving birth and don't wanna bend over the whole way down to get baby if you don't have to!

Another option is to have it in the bedroom next to you at night if you're going to nurse. I found the bassinet style attachment super useful!

We used the bassinet for 2 weeks. He wiggled too much and would always end up at the bottom with his legs in the air and at three weeks old he was already too big for it. Not to mention since it's sort of floating it was cold and I was always paranoid he was too cold in our room because it gets chili.

Mine had the bassinet and I loved it. It gave my son more room than a normal bassinet.
