Late period?

Hey. So 2 weeks ago my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex (bad idea if I don't want to get pregnant I already know) but it wasn't for long. He probably had it in me for about 40 seconds max and he finished himself a couple minutes later so he never ejaculated inside of me. My period is late by 2 days but I don't feel any early pregnancy symptoms. Haven't had spotting, my breasts aren't sore, I actually feel amazing and more energetic than usual. I feel like my period is coming but it's unusual for it to be late but also in the first two weeks of my period I had a really bad case of the flu and was unable to leave my bed for 10 days. I was also taking tons of DayQuil and along with this I was super stressed about a school project. Could this all make my period late? Or should I go out and purchase a pregnancy test?
