When to go to er for dehydration

When should you go to the er for dehydration? My heart seems to be pounding pretty hard, I threw up last night and have been nauseas all day, I'm exhausted, lightheaded when I stand up or bend over, I'm weak, and my head has been hurting on and off all day. I'm pretty sure I have an issue with my heart because I can feel it almost skip abreast sometimes which I feel is a little amplified. I know I'm dehydrated but don't know if I should go to the er.

Anytime your heart is funky, get your arse into the ER. If you are dehydrated, your potassium is probably low. My potassium hit 2.9 from inadequate nutrition about half a year ago, and my heart went into atrial fibrillation.  The upper chambers were basically fluttering spastically, and the lower chambers responded rapidly. So basically irregular beating and extra fast pounding. I was 27 years old with no prior health problems. And even though I'm a nurse and knew my heart was being naughty, I was in denial and took an aspirin so I wouldn't clot, and went into the ER in the morning hoping the issue would resolve when i slept. (It didnt). And through the whole ordeal I felt honestly normal and fine, except it did  start to cause a little bit of anxiety, knowing I would have to go to the ER. You sound like it's actually causing issues, which could be bad. Worse case scenario of going in, everything checks out fine and you go home, which (surprise) is actually best case scenario! Take potential heart issues seriously.
