Getting preggo when the husband is away!

Has anyone got pregnant by having sex the day before their surge (ie two days before ovulation)? My husband and I did the deed yesterday morning before I have any ewcm and then he went away on a trip and today I got my surge this morning and lots of ewcm. We have sperm issues so it's highly unlikely but I want to believe there's a little chance! We used Preseed so I'm hoping that helped until my ewcm arrived. Stories welcome! Thanks.
