Cervical pain during/after sex

I was just curious if any other women have this issue. My partner and I have a very active sex life. It's rare if we don't have sex at least once a day. But usually around my fertile period it gets painful. I've asked my doctor and she doesn't seem concerned because my paps are all normal and its not all the time. Could it be cervical position because its always lower around ovulation? I just want to make sure I'm not weird or abnormal. Lol!
