No printers?????

I keep seeing all you mommas get to bring home pictures of your LOs from the ultrasounds.... Everytime I have one I am told that the machines no longer come with printers and they aren't allowed to give me pictures!!! This is outrageous. I also have yet to even see my baby on an ultrasound. They refuse to show me anything.... I am the only one that this is happening to...?????

My initial response reading this was EW! Haha that's crazy, any place I have ever been (all medical) have printed beyond my expectation of pictures. Like THEY want to take more for me! I'd say look into a dif place or an elective place

How far along are you? You haven't gotten an ultrasound at all? I've actually gotten pictures printed for me and also had a place that would text me the pictures.

The ultrasound tech isn't supposed to show you the screen or print pictures unless it's a dating scan , NT scan or anatomy scan. If they are checking for issues you don't get to see and you dont get pictures. Your anatomy scan will most likely be when you get pictures. If not, just pay for a private one.

That is very weird. I have always been shown the screen at some point and giving pictures. The new machines can print pictures and burn CD/DVDs. Even if they have old equipment they should be able to give you pictures. My oldest child is 12 almost 13 and I have a vhs of her scans and printed pictures.

It depends how old their technology is. But if you're able to see it on screen , take pics of the screen with your phone, it's just as good!

Um, that's stupid. I've only had one ultrasound, but my sonographer burned me a CD with 45 pictures! I have to print them myself, obviously, but I have them.

They didn't have a screen you could look at during the ultrasound?? 😕 I have been to two different places for scans and got to watch at both (have had 4 scans all up) and was able to view all the images online for both my 12wk and 20wk scans.

We get a disk with all the pictures for our ultrasounds when we go
