Do you think sites that mock others are funny, tasteless, or cruel?

I saw a post on fb earlier today that was mocking people and posting pictures from the 'people of Walmart' website. What do you think of this? Are they asking for it if they leave the house dressed weird? (That was one argument, not mine). There's no denying that sites like POW are very popular. What are your thoughts? I'll post my thoughts below.

I would also like to make an assumption here too (Don't shoot me!) I would guess that a lot of people who look so disheveled in public too may often suffer from a mental illness. Why mock them?

I think they're pretty funny. A little unbelievable what people will go into public looking like.

Here's my 2 cents worth. I think at best it's tasteless and at the worst it's cruel. I don't think anyone should have their picture taken without their consent or knowledge. And they definitely shouldn't post those pictures on the Internet. It's bullying in the adult world. I'm ashamed of my younger self because when the site first came out years ago, I laughed at the pictures on it. And I bet most people would say that it's tasteless or cruel...yet why are these types of sites so popular?

Yeah. It's funny to laugh at people that  look ridiculous. But they didn't give their consent to be secretly photographed so it's also cruel at the very least. Imagine you show up on one of those site on a bad day? I don't always look spic and span when I leave the house, especially when my daughter was a baby.

And That's what I look like on a bad day. I have to cover my hair for religious purposes the nice one is a wig my real hair is ten times nicer but sadly I have to cover it! Does that mean on days when I just throw on w hat n look like shit I should be advertised and made fun of please! Those sites are for imature losers!

It is tasteless, cruel and an invasion of privacy.

I feel sorry for people who have their pictures taken with out their knowledge and consent. And I hope like hell the person who started that horrible site faces a lot of lawsuits.

However the people who find it funny don't surprise me. Humans are cruel by nature. Human kindness is basically an abnormality now.

The ones of people wearing ridiculous clothing, I see nothing wrong with snapping a photo and posting. But the one where you can clearly see the woman's underwear, that's just voyeuristic. Why take pictures of a woman's panties or the crack of their bottom? It's no better than one of those "upskirt" porn websites.

I think it's not ok to shame people because they're poor, fat, mentally ill, disabled, or young and stupid, which are the most common people on those sites.

I think it's not ok to take pictures of people and post them online without consent, especially pictures of people who may not realize they're semi-nude.

It is actually pretty mean... But I'm sorry, if you go out of your house dressed like a taco, don't be surprised at the looks you will get. People are going to laugh and make fun of you. If you're dressed that ridiculous, you can't expect the public to think nothing of it.

I don't think it's about being poor like some of the other comments said... I don't recall not being able to wear proper fitting or appropriate clothes just because you are poor. You can't really assume those people are mentally ill because you don't even know them. On the other hand though, some of those people can't help being overweight and that's cruel.

You have to admit though... You see some pretty weird shit at Walmart...
