Period while on pill

This is my first pack of pills and I used them as directed. Now I'm going though the placebo week and I'm 3 days in but I still haven't gotten my period or even any spotting. Me and my SO used condoms so I don't believe I'm pregnant. Should I be worried or is this normal for the first pack. I did have really bad spotting right in the middle of the active pills. A straight 4 days of on and off bleeding could that be what's effecting my period now?
