What was your babys gender when you have had ivf

I have recently read that there is a bigger percentage of women having more boys then girls that has had ivf help and i am just curious to see if this is true i personally wouldnt care what i had because i want another baby so badly but if i had a girl i would be blessed beyond belief since i all ready have a boy

I'm sorry I can't answer yet. I'm 28 weeks pregnant through IVF, and we haven't found out the gender (figured everything was so scheduled we needed something to be a surprise!) I'm interested to hear what others say.

We did genetic testing so I know the gender of all 5 of our perfect frosties. We had 4 girls and 1 boy. Blew that stat right out the window 😂

Interesting, I hadn't heard that. I wonder what the research is behind that. Maybe because it happens in a Petri dish somehow it suits the sperm with the Y chromosomes that the egg is right there (lazy sperm!!)
We've just done 3 rounds to get 4 frozen embryos, but really it was ICSI, a different approach again where the single perfect sperm is inserted into the egg directly.
Haven't transferred any yet, so we don't know the genders. But apparently the chance of identical twins is 33%! 😬 Naturally, it's just 3%...

That's not true with ICSI though. It's because male sperm are fast but don't live long in the uterus/tunes. Female sperm are slower but stick around longer. When you put soerm in a dish with an egg the males are faster and fertilize faster where as in a normal environment it's a bit more random as to which traits are needed. ICSI takes away the chance, so it should be a bit more even. We had more females than males.
