Cramps?

I'm having cramps. Constant dullish cramps. I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow. Is this normal? Should I call my doctor? I have an appointment Tuesday. Also I have been sick to my stomach since this morning around 4 and have just felt strange. Is my body just getting ready?

I went into preterm labor last week, at 34 weeks today, and the cramping was part of the "irritability" that came with contractions. Honestly, the cramping was more painful than the tightness of contractions, at times. I was in the hospital for 3.5 days, and the cramping came up on the monitor as irritability. I think it could mean you are getting closer, but it could also be your body preparing. My dr released me on the 4th day of being in the hospital, and said just to monitor contractions, timing and discomfort. You are further along than I am, so I would definitely suggest doing the same thing.

I feel exactly the same way. I saw my dr for my biweekly appointment today and she just told me to rest. The cramps have gotten worse since I got home. They don't feel like contractions, just crampy. I'm 35w 4d.
