Progesterone shots?

Today my doctor offered me progesterone shots to reduce my risk of preterm labor. My first was born at 36+5...which really isn't too early. I'm torn because other women I've asked have said yes get them, but others have had trouble getting their body to begin labor naturally after stopping the shots. Any personal experiences/advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm getting them right now and am nervous my body may not go into labor naturally, as well. My son was born at 36 weeks and was perfectly healthy.  So I understand questioning whether you actually need the shots. When it came down to it, though, I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I had declined the shots and something had happened. I'm 34 weeks and feeling pretty over being very pregnant . It'll suck to have to wait longer than normal.
