Protein Shake Safe??

Does anyone know if this protein shake is safe during pregnancy?? I haven't seen anything saying otherwise, but my dr office is closed and I am not sure what ingredients to look for. Help!!

Hmm I'm not sure about pre made protein shakes, I asked my doctor about home made ones and she said those were okay. The pre made ones may have preservatives and other chemicals that are questionable. It's super easy and not time consuming to make them fresh at home. Hope this helps.

No, I wouldn't drink those. I had a case full of those exact ones at my house but after a few google searches I read that the artificial sugars and ingredients in those particular shakes are terrible for you 😩 Your best bet is a natural protein shake made specifically for pregnant women or protein found in food.

I asked my doctor about it and she said it was healthier to get protein from the food you eat than to drink it.

Most protein shakes/powders are full of fake ingredients that aren't safe even when you aren't pregnant... There are some pure options out there but they account for a very small portion of shakes available.  Know what goes into your body... And yes I know my health options are extreme but they are research based and what I feel comfortable with.  Always do what's right for you
