Campfire with baby?

My son is 8 months old and I was invited out for a campfire with a group of friends and their babies. Is it safe for him to be around the campfire smoke?

Not right next to it but I've seen babies camping so why not? ...depends on your babies ahe too I'd say...

We're from the country and this happens ALL THE TIME. no one questions this. Its a normal part of life where we came from and all babies around there have been fine. Just make sure not too close because of chance of getting burned or if there us a lot of smoke not to let them inhale too much. If it goes toward your baby than move them to the other side

I've been around plenty of good parents who go camping with us. I'd avoid downwind but who likes being downwind anyways lmao

Just don't stand downwind from the fire with him. ☺️

Just make sure he doesn't put any rocks or sticks in his mouth. Or get too close to the flame. And It should be good. :)
