42 weeks... Anyone? Anyone?

42+2 today and have been in the hospital working on being induced since Friday (I'm in the UK where they don't start you off on pitocin and they take it slow to see if natural labor takes over)

Any other 41-42 weekers still around? My baby was due Feb 13 for crying out loud!!

I had my first at 42+1. No induction of any kind.

I am in the Uk too and i am 40+5 i was due 24th but i will be getting a sweep tomorroe so hopefully that helps speeds things up

I went 43 + with my first. If contractions get going hard... try some mild pain meds... it helped me... 56 hours of hard labor... while on pitocin... took pain meds at 54 hour.. at which time I wax at a 4....

I was 41+5 when I finally gave birth. I kept telling my doctor I didn't wanna go too far past my due date because of the risk of Meconium. He finally induced me after begging for almost 2 weeks and when my baby was born he had Meconium and didn't breathe for almost 6 minutes. They finally got him to breathe and he spent almost a week in NICU. Not to be a Debbie downer but my doctor and I also wanted to go as long as possible without induction so that the baby would come on his own but I guess a mother's instincts just knows how long is too long. I would just hate to see anyone go through this :( it was terrifying.
