Implant??

I'm starting college next fall, and I want a birth control method that I don't have to remember to take every day like the pill because I always get busy and forget to take it some days. I was looking at the implant in the arm, but I was wondering if you guys recommend it? Why or why not? also what're some of the side effects of it? Does it stop periods altogether?
