Am I too old for him?

So I've known this person for a while. Long story short. He has liked me for the longest time and I think he's a cool guy and a great friend. He's made comments before along the lines of "you're the type of girl I want to marry some day"
Again super nice kid. He's 16 I'm 19. I don't wanna seem like a creep of course. But he's a cool guy. I'm wondering if it would be okay if I waited for him. Would it be weird if I waited until I was let's say 24 and he was 21? Is that wrong? I don't want to be inappropriate. I don't know if being 19 and 16 is the best idea to be honest. What are your thoughts!? Comments /Advice 🙈

I'd wait for a bit. I will say too that we all change quite a bit until at least our mid 20s. Our brains aren't fully developed/matured until around age 25. But at least wait to date until he's 18.

If his parents are okay with it and give consent, it's not illegal while he's 16 and you're 19 anyways.

My SO is 3 years younger than me. When we first got together I had just turned 17. So when I turned 18 he was only 15. Both of our families loved us both and nobody ever had a problem with it. I'm 21 now and he's 18 going on 19. We're still together and have our first son together. It may be a little harder since you're already above the legal age limit but If y'all are really serious about being together and staying together and your families are okay with it, I just say keep yalls business to yourself.

When I met my husband he was 17 and I was 21. That was the scariest thing to me I ever encountered. I had ALWAYS dated people older than me by at least 3 years. I am happy to say that even though I fought with myself for 6 months about dating him, I finally gave in and now I am married to my best friend. It could be the best decision you make in your life. My husband and I have been together for almost 4 years. <3

im 30 and my husband is 21, together almost 3 years and married almost 2. if it's meant to be it will be. obviously wait until he's legal to be open about it but don't let a number get in the way of the love you feel for eachother
