Pineapple??..

Has anyone ever ate a pineapple to help speed up labor?

My dr said you have to eat like 7 whole pineapples including the core to do anything. He said you are more likely to give yourself diarrhea than start labor.

I eat it everyday more because I crave it lol nothing has happened as I think you have to have like 10 pineapples for it to work! But still yummy so worth a go !

It doesn't work. Tried it with my last pregnancy. I ate 3 whole pineapples in a week, my mouth was so freaking raw from how acidic pineapples are... I still ended up needed to be induced with my daughter. 
Don't get me wrong pineapples are delicious, and I was excited to have a snack thought to help naturally induce her. But my SOs family (whom we lived with at the time) wouldn't let me walk by the kitchen without eating a piece... All for nothing lol

I had a smoothie the other day with half a pineapple including the core. I haven't been to the dr since then so it's possible it thinned/dilated me, but it definitely didn't put me into labor (although, thinning was my goal, not going into labor)

I herd pineapple is good for lactation because it reduces inflammation but haven't herd it helping start or shorten labor.

I ate a crap load of pineapple yesterday. Like a whole pineapple. 
I'm currently 9&3/4 cm dilated waiting to feel the urge to push... Lol worked for me!

Tried it with my second, I ate 4 pineapples in 5 days....did nothing, I still had to be induced with him but I love pineapple so it wasn't too bad :) plus my son loves pineapple now too

My sister just drank all natural 100% pineapple juice at night & by morning she was having contractions
