Siblings got appendicitis, have yours?

My older brother had appendicitis last year, and my younger brother is doing surgery today for his appendicitis. My husband is a little concerned for me because I get a horrible sharp stabbing pain in my right side. He wants me to see a doctor; The question is should I get a check up done for appendicitis? Have you personally had it or did your siblings have it and skip you?
