I heard that antibiotics makes your birth control ineffective. Is that all birth control kinds or just specific ones? I am on nexplanon right now and have been for about a year, and I just got diagnosed with having strep throat and was put on amoxicilin. Me and my boyfriend were getting intimate and I was worried that I might get pregnant if the antibiotics effect the birth control I have. Can anyone tell me if they know anything about it, just to be safe. And btw I'm not pregnant I got my period.
