I bled red, brown, and pink around then. No cramping. All was fine at 8wk scan.

I am 6 weeks as well, and for the last 3 days I've had a mix between dark brown, light pink and some dark red blood with very slight cramping. 
My OBGYN ordered a STAT Hcg test to put my mind at ease and my numbers were well over 40,000. I am a physician myself and studies have shown I have a higher risk of miscarriage. Joy. None the less-  Nothing to worry about.  Often at 6 weeks the baby burrows deeper down in the uterus. This can cause some spotting. Many women's uterus reabsorb the blood and they never see it. However, about 40% of us do see it.  It's recommended to wear a pad to track the amount. Obviously don't ever use a tampon. Unless you have bright red blood with severe cramping- it most likely nothing abnormal. Best wishes!!!
