Any co-sleeping or room sharing moms out there?

Question

I originally said I wouldn't co-sleep, but my son is 5 months old and in the last few weeks has become a terrible sleeper!  He sleeps in a pack-n-play next to our bed and wakes up 3-5 times a night.  The only way I can get him back to sleep is letting him BF on me in bed.  Then when I move him back to his PnP he wakes up and starts the whole thing over!
He sleeps well in our bed but I'm terrified of crushing him.  We don't have our bed on the floor or sleep without pillows or blankets like the books say you should do. 
Does anyone co-sleep and if so, what safety measures do you put in place?

We room share. My lo has reflux and, up until a few nights ago, wakes up gagging and choking. She sleeps in a rock 'n' play (her head shape has NOT been compromised) because it is elevated. She just started sleeping through the night about 5 nights ago so we are looking to transition into her room.
I will say that our almost 3 year old sleeps with me, which has displaced my DH. We just potty trained her and we are working on the bed situation next. In my opinion only, If you can avoid long-term co-sleeping I suggest it. It is really tough to break them of the habit as they get older.

I was in the same boat. At around 4 months my son started sleep regression. He was never a great sleeper but he went from one 4-5 hour chunk to waking up every hour. He is now over 5 months and it still wasn't getting better. I finally caved and tried sleep training by putting him in his crib last night. It broke my heart trying the Ferber method but he slept almost all night!! He had one wake up from 12-1 and then a short wake up for his 5 am nursing. But other than that slept 8-7. Which he has never done. I didn't think I could ever have him in his room but I feel like I actually got some sleep last night. I just figured I'd share an alternative. I will also say I am not against co-sleeping I did when he was a newborn but once he got bigger he just needed his own space and slept better in his rock and play.

I am lucky enough that my s.o. works night shift so I have the bed for just me and baby. What also helped is that I don't really roll around when I sleep. However I was still worried about him suffocating so I kept my pillow away from him and put my arm around him and kept the blankets by his waist and I put my face near his so he wouldn't put his face in my chest. I also put a little blanket under him in case he spits up so it won't get on the sheets. Kinda like this:
Recently tho I had to move him to his crib because I wasn't sleeping comfortably and it got to warm for the both of us. What I did was I patted his back while I laying down feeding him and I waited till he was super asleep to move him. If he stirred I just patted his back. Once he got used to this I just fed him and put him down drowsy and patted his back if he was fussy. Now he doesn't fall asleep after he eats so I lay him down awake and either step out of the room or lay down quietly until he's asleep. His crib is next to our bed so usually I just lay down and have some me time.

We do but only in the morning hours after 6 am if he wakes up we feed him in our bed then lay him next to my wife and we have king as well so my wife and I share half the bed and he gets the entire other half to himself to make sure we don't roll on him also put pillows everywhere in case he rolls

We cosleep. We started cosleeping consistently around 8 weeks. My daughter is now 19 weeks and still cosleeping. We have a king size bed and it works well for us. I sleep with pillows and make sure they are never close to her face. I also never pull the covers up higher than my waist. I typically have my arm around her so I know where she is and I don't roll on her.

My daughter sleeps in a rock and play next to my bed and her crib is also in here. She's been sleeping 10-12 hours since she was 3 months old with 1 feeding during the night occasionally 
But she's now going through the 4 month sleep regression and when she wakes I put her next to me, feed her, and I sleep with her. If I wake up again I'll put her back and she'll sleep into the morning. 
This weekend we're working on transitioning into the crib 🤗

We do. We use a co-sleeper gifted to us. You can get them at Walmart. They even have a handy nightlight. 👍🏻 
I love co-sleeping I'm able to ease the anxiety of something going wrong while we're asleep and being able to hear him right away when he's hungry or needs a change is a huge bonus to both my bf and I because we're heavy sleepers usually.

My son has started sleeping with us and for the last two nights it seems he just wants to use my breast as a pacifier.  At first I thought he was waking up so often bc he was hungry, so I let him in our bed.  Now I worry that he's becoming dependent on the breast.

Did you come in my home & spy on us!? I'm so serious. Your story is our life to the T. Even the pack n play next to our bed. I bed shared with my first till she was 2ish. It was easier then because it was just me & her in a bed & im not a big mover. My almost 5 month old & I usually end up on the couch together because she refuses to sleep in her pack n play. I try over & over & over again with no luck. The longest she's slept in her pack n play is 35 minutes & im lucky I was even able to lay her down in it without her waking up that time. The only reason we don't sleep in the bed is because it makes me nervous having her in the bed with both me & my husband at the same time. If it was just me & her, I'd have no problem.
