Excessive bleeding on Mirena

I got the mirena put in a couple months ago and everything was fine until this month. My periods are usually super long anyway so I didn't notice until i was on the 20th day of being on my period. I have an appointment in a couple days but I'm just worried about what might be happening. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
