What to do now

Question

So this past Saturday I was confronted with the worst news and it broke me. My husband cheated and she's pregnant. We've had some rocky times, I neglected him, and he looked for what I wasn't giving him and found it with another person. I can't call her a woman seeing that she knew of me. I'm hurt more that this person is pregnant, seeing that we've TTC for sometime now. I'm not sure where to go from here. I'm feeling a bit lost.

It's a hard situation. He is going to have a child soon and that child will always be a reminder of what your husband did to you and on top of that, the woman will always be a part of your husband's life because of the child. It's something to think about. Some people in this situation make it work, everybody is different so just think about what is best for you and go from there.

Wow, thats a huge slap in the face. I am so sorry you're faced with this situation. Regardless if you denied things he wanted or not, it doesn't give anyone the right to step outside of the marriage and have unprotected  sex with someone else.  My concern would be if this is the first time he's done this, and I would probably make an appointment with my gynecologist to be tested for std's. I am not going to tell you what you should do - I can just say what I would do if I were in this situation. If it were me, I couldn't stay. I would be concerned that I would resent the child, which isn't fair to him or her. Good luck to you. 💖

I'm so sorry that you're going through this. Well you just need to think of whether you want to make this marriage work or if you want a divorce. Not only did he cheat but she is pregnant, if he decides to take care of this child you would be the step mom to the child. I would suggest marriage counseling if you want to make this marriage work. However in my onion once a cheater, always a cheater. Even if you are able to build a relationship again, there might always be a part of you wondering if he will cheat again. Having those thoughts and feelings for the rest of your life probably won't be easy. Even though you neglected your marriage it doesn't give him the right or free pass to cheat on you. There are a lot of things to consider, you just need to think about what is best for you whether it be making it work or separating. He made is decision when he cheated on you, now he will have to deal with the consequences.

This is so hard:( I will tell you something: I don't think any woman deserve to go through this. You don't have kids with him and the other woman is expecting a kid from him so there is so much to think about it. It's a difficult situation because you love him. If he knew that the other woman was just an adventure he should have used a protection but he didn't and obviously the other woman knew what he wanted (a kid). Be smart and think that everytime you see this kid around your house he will reminde about the affair in your marriage. Karma will get him soon.

omg. that is a tough situation. ur husband could of gave you a disease too. ur ttc consider it luck ur not pregnant right now. this child will be a constant reminder of his infidelity. I am very sorry you are going thru this. my husband cheated and wers ttc too. he cheated last yr but she not pregnant. that does add a spin on it. good luck honey

I would definitely leave him. Don't think this is your fault in any way. No one ever has a reason to cheat. I hope you can find someone to respect you and love you for more than sex

I am so sorry honey to be honest I would consider leaving him.  Does he want to be in the child's life? Does he want to be with this woman? Could you forgive and forget if he wanted the child in his life? Everyday you would constantly be questioning him and be suspicious. I couldn't do it.  It would kill me in the inside. And btw you did nothing to deserve this, you two are married.   He made the decision and it was a terrible one. Do not blame yourself.
