Help....?

Y'all.. I need help. I moved in with my dad last year after living with my mom my whole life. I'm a sophomore in high school and my boyfriend and I are thinking about sex but we both agree I should be on birth control. My mom lives in another state and I want to ask her to get me the pill but we've never been close when it comes to that stuff and I'm afraid she'll tell my dad. What do I do?

Kudos to you for being responsible enough to see the need for birth control! I know that can be a hard situation to be in, but honesty is imperative! Do you have a friend that can take you to a health department or your doctor? Or a friends mom? I was in a similar situation and when moved in with my dad my step-mom took me to the doctor and got me birth control within weeks of living there because she was a teen mom and she understands. Sex is going to happen, but the responsibility part is up to you.

Go to planned parenthood and they will give you an assessment and then they will sell you the pill or patch or ring whatever you chose at a reduced price. More affordable then going to the pharmacy.
