Gasping for air while throwing up? HELP!

I gagged this morning while coughing so that made my stomach heave. I threw up bile and couldn't control the heaving of my stomach, but all while gasping for air. I was throwing up but panicking at the same time because I felt like air couldn't get in my lungs. Afterwards I had to sit down because I was shaking and still trying to regain my breath. Now my head hurts and my stomach hurts inside like I did a million crunches. Scared the shit out of me. I've never done that and never want to again.
