OW! Latching problems.. 😱

I didn't have any problems in the hospital when the nurses helped my daughter latch properly. Apparently they're magicians and are able to get her to open her mouth wide enough. I can't get her to open up enough to save my life! (She is 4 days old today.)

I've tried several different positions hoping they would help, nothing. She only opens her mouth enough to latch completely on my nipple. I am in SO much pain, it's becoming unbearable. Everyone else I ask tells me to get a lactation consultant, but there is no way I can afford one right now.

Anyone have any tips/tricks? 😭
