Shy Guy

I'm sort of seeing this shy boy, all I want is for him to open up to me and be super comfortable around me because he struggles talking to anyone. I know it comes with time but does anyone have an experience with my situation? Or at least know of ways that make shy people feel more comfortable is there anything I can say or do?
