Thought we could all use a nice little break from reading topics about cheating baby daddies or baby names containing three Y's and a dash.

I'm hitting up a bookstore this weekend and would love to hear about your favorite novels. I usually like fictional stories taking place in specific historical periods, but I'm open to trying new genres!

When in doubt, I look for the old classics that I haven't read before. Currently into moby dick because I was feeling ambitious. 
I also really enjoyed journey to the center of the earth and hitch hikers guide to the Galaxy for a good laugh. And something newer,  I suck at girls by Justin halpren.

Love James Patterson the murder club series! That's what I'm reading now I'm on book 7 of 14.

I enjoyed Gillian Flynn gone girl series

I always read the Janet evanovich series one for the money and so on.

I have stragglers I enjoy also along with local writers from my home town that my mom will send me. I'm a nerd I love to read!

Oh I love that you started this thread! I recently finished I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson and it was absolutely amazing. It's YA lit, technically, but doesn't really read that way.

I've also recently enjoyed the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugi and the Queen of the Tearling by Erica Johanssen. And The Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline, anything by Susanna Kearsley (romantic historical fiction a la Outlander), and anything by Sarah Addison Allen (light magical realism).
