IUD: Yes or No?

I've read a bit about the IUD, and am seriously considering it as an option. I know there's a lot of pros and cons, but it sounds like a very effective contraceptive method and has very good reviews. Though I would first like to hear from other women who have used it: what do you think about it? How effective is it? Did you experience any changes after you had it implanted?
