Too late to change doctors?

I'm 14+5 weeks. My doctor just informed me that if I am not in a private room, my husband and baby can't stay. I'm not being a princess or anything, private room is not even my concern. However, baby and hubby need to be in the room overnight. Is it too late to change doctors? There are 3 other hospitals in my area that allow hubby in the room the entire time, but my doctor isn't affiliated with them.

It is never too late to change doctors... I would say the sooner the better tho. There is no way I would accept not having my husband with me the entire time that just seems rediculous to me.

Well I will definitely be asking my doctor now because baby isn't leaving my or my boyfriends side and he is not leaving me.

I changed at 6 months with my first pregnancy. It was the best decision that I could have made. It was scary to change but worth it. The level of care was dramatically different. If you are unsure, shop around until you find the provider that is right for you.

I switched doctors at 11.5 weeks and I am SO happy I did! I wasn't comfortable with my original one or where I'd have to deliver and my first appt at m new doctor office made me feel so much more comfortable and relieved! Make the switch!

Its usually the hospital policy... Find a more suitable hospital then a dr thst delivers there.

I would change hospitals and doctors. That's one of the primary reasons I choose the hospital that I'm going to. All the rooms are private.

I'm going to be moving when I'm about six months pregnant and will be getting a new doctor. I'm not worried and being still relatively early in your pregnancy it shouldn't be an issue at all. Make sure you find a doctor that makes you comfortable and fits what you and your family need.

It's never too late to change doctors as far as I'm concerned. You need to be completely comfortable with your doc!
