Should I be worried?

Michelle
I'm 8wks pregnant and I've just come back from my booking in appointment. I mentioned to the midwife that for the past week I've been having some really mild cramps in my lower abdomen, diaphragm and tightness across my shoulder blades. I've been referred for an early scan, put on bed rest and been told to go to a&e immediately if anything gets worse. I have read lots about cramps being quite normal as you are 'stretching' so didn't think much of it until today. Now I am thinking she thinks I might be at risk of miscarriage but she was very reluctant to give me any information. Happy I get to see the baby early but feeling really nervous now. It's going to be a long weekend waiting to get the scan! Is my midwife just being overly cautious or was I just being really silly not to be worried in the first place? Really hope I haven't put the baby in jeopardy by not mentioning it to anyone sooner!
