Cloth nappies/wipes

Any mom using cloth nappies and wipes? I just got my trial pack of pocket style nappies and will order the rest of what I need once baby is here and it is all working out.

If you use cloth; are you planning to use it straight from birth? I'm considering to use disposables while we are in the hospital for the few days after birth and then starting cloth once we get home just for practical reasons.

If you use cloth wipes as well; do you use a solution to wet them or just water? Bit on the fence about this myself. Can see the benefit in making a nurturing solution to keep in a spray bottle but then I don't see why plain water wouldn't be sufficient.
