Can I shoot a gun?

Hi everyone I'm 20 weeks and was wondering if it's say to shoot a shot gun during pregnancy. It's turkey season an that's a passion of mine but my baby boy is more important! But just wanted to see what everyone thought.

I'm in the army. I don't stop shooting stuff because I'm pregnant. And I can wear body armor.

It's perfectly fine to go shooting. Baby is protected by all that fluid, all the skin of your belly, and their hearing is developing/developed, but it's not that great. It's just like listening to overly loud music in a car or going to a concert. Don't stop living life just because you're pregnant

I am also a law enforcement officer and had two different doctors tell me that I needed to stop shooting after 18 weeks due to lead exposure concerns and noise concerns.  I think you could probably get different doctors telling you different things.  I got lucky and could qualify before 18 weeks so that's what I did but everyone is different.

Baby reacts to loud noises so I avoided shooting once 20+ weeks with both pregnancies...

I asked my doctor yesterday and he said SURE no problem! He said there aren't any concerns with me shooting while pregnant. I'm a law enforcement officer and I have to qualify with a revolver and shot gun!

I wouldn't just because there's no way for you to protect baby's hearing.
