Maternity Leave

So, I'm sitting here talking to my husband about Maternity leave. How some jobs offer it paid, and some don't. My husband is in the Navy. So, he randomly says "Women that have a baby in the Navy get 12 weeks* maternity leave, while the husband (or SO), gets only 10 days. It's completely unfair, and stupid."
That's when I got aggravated. Why is that unfair? A women carried a baby in her stomach for 9 months, THEN had to give painful birth. I personally believe women deserve that 12 weeks  maternity leave. Why should men get the same amount of time? What did they do? Did they carry the baby? No. Did they push a baby out of their vagina? Nope.
What do you ladies think? Should men in the military get the same amount of leave time as women (12 weeks), or keep it at 10 days?
