Second marriage??

My boyfriend and I have both been married and divorced. We have been talking heavily about marriage. So my question is would you have a wedding? We don't want presents and of course would put "your presence is a present-- no gifts necessary" in the invite. But I kind of want the whole joining of the families celebration thing; which happens at weddings. But then again I kind of want something between us and our kids. Then use the money we are saving to do something else( house, invest, whatever). Of course in the end the decision is ours. But just wanted to know what others would do.
