Best non-bulky convertible car seat?

Caption says it all!
What's the best non-bulky convertible car seat but also affordable? Price range around $150-ish. I have a Honda Civic and there's already not much room with her infant seat in but when she outgrows it, I'm looking to get a convertible car seat so she can still be rear facing. Hoping to get one so that I can finally have someone fit in the passenger seat comfortably since there's currently barely any leg room. TIA :)

Graco contender is probably your best value, and also not bulky.  It runs 100-120$ .

Joie is a brand here (in the uk) that you can keep rear facing and my friend has one in her Citroen C2 which is TINY.

This one is at SAMs club right now for $79.86. This car seat can hold a child up to 100 lbs.

I however plan on getting the graco 4-1 simply because all the graco stuff I have bought has been great for me, but if I was financially unable to I would probably pick something like this.
