Bumbo chair? Yes? No?

Is a bumbo chair helpful or good for you? Any thoughts? My daughter is 7 months going on 8. She can sometimes sit without support, but I thought it'd be nice to get one so that she can sit on the table or counter next to me while I do some work.

I had the bumbo for my first and she loved it! We used it all the time! She sat in it on the counter and watched me cook every night!

Mamma and Pappa is much safer, and baby can use it when they get bigger, unlike bumbo.

I loved the bumbo! My kids were sitting up unsupported by 4 months. They loves sitting up in the bumbo. They hated laying in the swing and bouncer. They used it for easily 10 months just as a chair. The new bumbo seats look amazing! But I already got a bumbo with tray second hand for $10 off facebook so we won't be trying the new one.

My daughter had chunky thighs so she couldn't really fit in the bimbo past about 5 months or so.

Plus she hated it most of the time. She'd arch her back and cry and fuss to get out.

I used a boppy pillow to prop her up on the floor, she liked that much better.

I use a boppy to prob my baby up, he has crazy good head control for a 2 month old. But I heard bumbos are bad for their hips.

I think it's kind of a waste of money my daughter hated the bumbo and only used it like twice lol
