Did you give the option of giving a gift card at your baby shower?

On the registry site it gives you the option of allowing gift cards. I clicked no bc if I took the time to research products to put on the registry, why would I want a gift card. My mom thinks it's rude to put 'does not accept gift cards'. Thoughts??

I mean with a gift card you can go get things that you never received. I wouldn't care.

Gift cards are nice to have, every one isn't going to look at your registry and those who do, might not take off the item they've bought you.. So a gift card is great to have that way, if you need something you didn't receive, you won't have to spend your cash, and it's easier than taking multiple items back but to each their own! Take the gift cards they are much needed!!!. I love having them for random things and knowing I will have them for the future. I use them for formula, batteries, exchanges on new items, certain things that I didn't put on the registry. Why would you turn down any gift

You want giftcards. There will be things you realize you need or things you need more of, and those giftcards will become VERY handy. We made about 2 trips a week to baby stores the first couple weeks. The biggest was realizing it's not worth putting pants on a newborn or fancy outfits, so I needed lots of sleepers. We made countless sleeper shopping trips! And, you may really need something more pricey that's on your registry but no one could afford to pay for it. Having gift cards from several people may be able to pay for it or at least help so you aren't paying for it out of pocket completely. Accept the giftcards girl!

Honestly, I wish I would have gotten gift cards instead. I spent so much time researching and putting items on the registry that I actually needed and wanted and literally no one used it. It was my mother in laws fault. She refused to give the registry link to anyone for whatever reason. She didn't know how to use a registry soooooo she assumed no one else would I guess? Either way, I ended up with a crap ton of stuff I need to exchange and take back because it's either not a product I want to use (I don't support the brand or don't need it) or we got 5 of them. It's really annoying that we got two mattresses for the crib and four bathtubs and a bunch of clothes that are the wrong size since I already had clothes for her to span all the way to 6 months I wanted stuff that was bigger, instead I got a ton of newborns and need to return them....I wish we would have just gotten gift cards lol

You can save up the gift cards so that once baby gets here you can use those for diapers and wipes! Thats what we've done so far ^.^

Honestly, most people don't show from your registry. I hate to say it but everyone has an opinion on what you need and often just forgo your registry.  Gift cards will let you buy whatever you want off your registry.  It makes zero sense on why you wouldn't want them. They're as good as money--- so your logic, in my opinion, is very flawed.

Real Talk: You'll want gift cards hun! ;) Some people can be last minute when purchasing a gift, like on the way to the party and aren't gonna take the time to look at your registry. They'll buy you the first random cute outfit they come across. 80% of the stuff you'll get at your baby shower won't even be on your registry. And if you don't like it or get the wrong size you'll have to figure out where they got it from and return it. 
Its just wise to add that as an option for those last minute people. And if they dont look at your list at all (which also happens A LOT) like I said, random gift or gift card. ;) I had my shower and only 2 of the 20 gals that showed up actually used my registry. Haha ;) <3 It's all good though! Everyone brought things I needed, maybe not specifically what I wanted but better than what I picked out. :)
