How worried are you about Zika virus?

It's been all over the news for weeks now.  Just wondering who all in the pregnant/ TTC community is worried about it?

Hey, 
Yeah we're pretty concerned about it. It's our first wedding anniversary this September and we wanted to visit the Caribbean to celebrate but we've been advised not to. We then thought about cape verde and low and behold there's been reports of an outbreak there too!! Such a shame these beautiful countries are being affected by what is an unknown epidemic.....😕

Not worried in the slightest. 
I just take normal mosquito precautions like staying away from stagnant water, being indoors at dusk&dawn, and using picaridin bug spray as an alternative to DEET.

I not worried about it at all. I live in Florida and if I really gave myself something else to worry about I would be living in a bubble until July. Obviously once "mosquito season" comes around I'll be spraying myself with OFF but that's about as much worrying as I'm gonna do.

Just had another look - according to the cdc website the aedes aegypti mosquito
 is found in Florida - it may not be infected or a carrier but it is found there which is why we cancelled

We were meant to be going to Florida at Easter but cancelled as the same mosquito is found there. Just not worth the risk. We live in the uk so it's not a concern here but is when we go abroad.

It's found there because people have traveled outside of the US into countries where the mosquito is found and got bit. Then they returned home and went to the doctor it there case is reported as being in fl. The mosquito is not here therefore people living here cannot contract it unless the mosquito is found here. Which it is not!!

I'm not terribly worried, and I live in FL!

My only worry is that my husband is in Mexico on vacation right now. So, per my obgyn's recommendation, we'll take a month off from TTC to see if he shows symptoms, and two months if he does get sick. It's frustrating because the bastard went during my fertile period 😆

Oh well, hopefully he won't get sick and we can still get our BFP in April.

I'm not worried because we have no plans of traveling where the actual mosquito is found. Please understand that none of the cases were related to the mosquito being in the US. The diseases is due to the people traveling where the mosquito is. I live in Florida and the cases were people that traveled. We do not have the mosquito here.
