I want to try and give myself a tattoo, any advice on how to do this hygenically?

I have multiple. Please get it professionally done. It's worth paying a price and having it be done well and hygienically considering tattoos are forever unless you want laser tattoo removal later on. It beats having an infection.

I absolutely have some great advice. Don't do it. It's not cool, it will look like shit, you'll regret it, it's not worth it, there's a risk of infection. If you are serious about learning to tattoo, go get an apprenticeship like everyone else. Asking for advice on how to be a kitchen wizard on a women's health app does not make you any more qualified to tattoo yourself or anyone else.

Well I did mine with indian ink (you can find it at the art store) and a sewing needle. I used the stick n poke method. Basically you dip the needle in the ink and poked it into my skin. I have a high pain tolerance so it didn't hurt me at all plus no pain no gain right? Regardless I still suggest going to a professional to get any type of body mod the reason being that it's safer. If you still chose to do it yourself though then I suggest the stick n poke method. Make sure to take good care of your work once it's done you do not want to get an infection. 
PS. SANITIZE EVERYTHING YOU USE!!This is extremely important if you do not it could lead to infection.
