Owlet baby monitor worth the hype!?

Question

Hi ladies! I am expecting my first baby in June and am looking into getting the Owlet baby monitor and/or a breathable crib mattress. I was thinking that the Owlet monitor would be better, being that they can wear it anytime.....and anyway, I plan to have my baby in a bassinet beside my bed for the 1st few months since I will be breastfeeding.

Have any of you ladies used the Owlet monitor? I can't find many reviews online. I was wondering the helpfulness and accuracy. If not the Owlet, what other brands/models have y'all used and were impressed with?

I plan on getting one too.  There was a post a few weeks ago asking this same question and a nurse commented and said she fully supported it so that's enough for me!

I got the Snuza instead since it was cheaper, has good reviews on Amazon.

I love my Owlet!!!! Worth every penny and has been extremely dependable for us so far. We've been using it for 6 months now. :)

When I told the lady at babies r us I was thinking about one she said they're hit and miss. Some moms have reported it to not work that good at all and some moms love it
