New job... When to fess up ?

I just got hired on Wednesday, start on Monday. I'm really excited about working but soooo nervous to tell them I'm pregnant. What's your guys thoughts ? I'm due sept 6th.

I'm a teacher and I'm trying to get into a new district for the next school year. I feel bad for not being honest up front, but I know they won't hire me if they know. I'm going to wait until I get hired and then let them know ASAP. It's sad that we have to worry over things such as this. This is a beautiful time in our lives and we shouldn't have to be concerned about our jobs. :/

I'm in the same situation, and I don't plan on telling anyone at work until 20 weeks. If they ask why you kept it from them, just say you didn't want to jinx anything. Unless there are tasks you cannot complete, they DO NOT have a right to know.

With my first pregnancy I was 14 weeks when I accepted a new job and I told them after I accepted. They asked if I had any vacation or time off coming up that I'd need so I let them know then. But really, don't feel like you're doing anything wrong. You're being hired as the right candidate for years to come. Taking 12 weeks (or whatever your plan is) off isn't going to affect how they see you long term.

That's how I feel. I just had an interview and got a second one also. So I'm pretty sure I got it but I'm just so scared about telling them I'm pregnant. What if they fire me after that. I'm 14 weeks and 1 day. I'm scared !!!!

I started a new job when I was 7 weeks and I didn't know when I accepted. I ended up telling them around 11 weeks when I started crying at work and felt like I had to explain why that would happen. They were amazing and understanding and everyone is super excited!

I think you should tell them but it shouldn't hurt anything . I think tell them so they won't get surprised when you ask for maternity leave
