Are people "better" than me cause they get pregnant quick?

So many of my friends are pregnant and I just feel like they are moving onto that next chapter and I'm not. We did conceive 5 years ago ( wasn't trying), but it just wasn't the right time so I had the abortion pill. Is this just me being punished? Please no judgement. I have regretted it since the moment it happened but we are ready to be parents now and we will be the best parents. I am so beyond ready for it to happen. Maybe it's taking a long time to teach me a lesson and appreciate it more? Idk😢 I'm not even religious like that

Of course it's not you being punished and no one is better than you for getting pregnant. Honestly you should maybe look into some therapy as it seems your opinion of yourself is staggeringly low. Not to be rude, but maybe with some positive reassurance and working through your feelings you can feel better about your situation.

Having both you and your partner get a full work up done should be first on your list so you know that it's just timing for you and not something that could possibly be easily solved hindering your conception chances.

You are not being punished at all :( these things take time for women but I can entirely understand why you would jump to the thought of being punished. You can always talk to a doctor about conceiving problems if it's been more than a year. I was in your situation when I was ttc and would completely break down and start sobbing every month I got my period. I joined a support group, started tracking ovulation, and finally got a bfp. I still worry I'm going to be punished somehow, I worry that anything that could go wrong I'll think it's punishment, and I'm not religious at all either. I know it helped a lot to talk to people who also regretted getting abortions and I realized there were a lot of memories and emotions I had buried deep down. 💕
