Does anyone know if antibiotics affect fertility?

I've been put on antibiotics amoxicillin so penicillin based antibiotic for a week. Does anyone know if this will stop ovulating or prevent pregnancy this month. Hope not! I've read a few contradicting statements!

No. Penicillin though can make your birth control not work. I took amoxicillian for 2 rounds 10 days each and then I was on penicillin right after base I couldn't get rib of the respritory infection I had and that's how we ended up with our son haha

I don't think it will. They say certain antibiotics make BC pills less effective so I'm not sure

They don't usually effect fertility but they aren't safe for embryo/fetus. Most doctors will tell you to hold off until the antibiotics are out of your system. Some antibiotics are worse than others for this situation so just talk to your doctor.
