Is it wrong to have a second baby shower?

My son is a little over 2 years old and I had a great baby shower for him. Is it wrong that I want another baby shower for #2 if I'm having another boy?

Every pregnancy and baby should be celebrated. Although it may be perceived as rude to ask for more gifts so soon. Are there other things you need that you'd hope to get at a shower? Maybe have a get-together where guests bring small stuff like bath wash, wipes, or diapers.

Every baby needs a baby shower. I think it's crazy people think differently about that. I always thought that's how it's suppose to be.

I'm having my second boy and my boys are 20 months apart. Our registry is mainly in the $20 range or less. We just need the things you get new for each baby as we purchased all the big stuff so we registered for sheets, recieving blankets, bottles, blankets, baby wash and lotion etc

Have a baby "sprinkle" which is a baby shower essentially, you're just not asking for those big necessities like the first time around (crib, stroller, carseat, etc) but people will still being diapers and all that good stuff. You play games and all that.

I think if you want to have a celebration of baby - maybe a sprinkle is a better option or a book shower that others have suggested. If no one has offered, I think that tells you a lot about how those around you feel about it. Since you just had a baby two years ago, people might not be as willing to throw another shower or buy gifts.

Around here we call subsequent showers for same genders "sprinkles" and I'm southern. I think every baby deserves a celebration :)

Try a baby viewing party! People love to see a baby and usually people bring gifts anyhow.
